Do I have to have a TTE user account to have a badge for a convention?

A user must be logged into a TTE account to make badge purchases for conventions.  The user can purchase badges for themselves or others with their account and maintain control of the badges through their logon.  The user can also purchase badges for TTE friends and other friends through permissive gifting (if allowed by individual conventions).  Badges purchased this way will have control transferred to the TTE account of the friend.

What are the benefits to assigning badges to unique TTE user accounts?

Multiple badges to a convention that are in the control of one TTE account have limitations in the system.  The controlling user will have to manage event scheduling and ticket and merch purchasing for all the badges under their account's control.  Additionally, only the controlling user will be able to submit event submissions or volunteer for conventions.  To enjoy the full functionality of the TTE system, it is recommended that badges be assigned to unique TTE user accounts.  Badges can be transferred between TTE user accounts using the friend system.

Do I have to be friends with someone in the TTE system to purchase them a badge?

A TTE user can purchase badges for themselves or others with their account and maintain control of the badges through their logon.  The user can also purchase badges for TTE friends and other friends through permissive gifting (if allowed by individual conventions).

The system shows the refund button next to my badge information, but it won't process the actual refund.

When refunding a badge, all tickets (purchased or free) and merch must first be refunded before the system will allow a badge refund.

How can I delete my TTE account?

If you no longer wish to maintain your TTE account, you can go to your account preferences and choose to permanently deactivate your account.  Any purchase history will be held in the TTE logs for purposes of accounting records for the conventions.

I mis-typed my name and/or email address. How do I change it?

You can always update your name or email address through account preferences.

How will my name be used?

TTE is concerned with your privacy.  Information regarding the use of your name within our system is documented here.

I've edited the email address associated with my TTE account, but convention updates are still going to the old email.

Because some people wish the email associated with a convention badge to be different from their TTE account email, once you have purchased a badge, the email assigned to that badge is known as your "badge email".  The badge email is used for all communications sent to you by the convention.  When you change your TTE account email, it does not automatically update your badge email for conventions for which you have already purchased badges.  You will need to go to each convention badge and update your badge email.

I'm having trouble bulk uploading my event submissions.

If you are uploading event submissions through the bulk upload option, it is VERY important that all fields are entered exactly as they appear in the Import Fields Help section.  The best way to achieve this is by copying and pasting directly from TTE into your CSV file.

TTE strongly recommends you create your CSV file through Microsoft Excel.  Google Sheets can be used; however, when you download the file to your local PC before uploading it into TTE, be sure to download it as an XLS file and then convert it to a CSV.  Failure to do this may result in formatting errors for copied fields during the download process from Google Sheets. If you don't have access to Microsoft Excel, be sure to verify all formatting in the downloaded CSV from Google Sheets.
